In 2025, Mazda's impressive line of SUVs grows with the launch of the Mazda CX-70. The Mazda CX-70 is a two-row, midsize model that takes its place between the compact Mazda CX-50 and the three-row Mazda CX-90. The 2025 Mazda CX-50 is available for the first time with a hybrid engine. This is a 219-horsepower unit that links three electric motors to a four-cylinder gas engine. The Mazda CX-50 has a 187-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine and a 256-horsepower, turbocharged variant. The 2025 Mazda CX-70 has two gas engines and a plug-in hybrid system. Its gas engines are a 280-horsepower, inline-six, turbo 3.3-liter unit and a high-performance variation that produces 340 horsepower. The PHEV includes a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine with an electric component. It generates 323 horsepower and boasts a 26-mile all-electric range.
The Mazda CX-50 has the sleek body language that the brand is recognized for, and it balances this with a rugged edge. Its profile is tall and modestly curved, while the sides display capable molding and defined haunches. At the front, the small headlights are accented by U-shaped LED headlights and flank the wide grille. The nose is also personalized by horizontal, amber lighting and tall gills. The Mazda CX-70, on the other hand, is a larger model with a sloped roof and a side air vent near the front fender. While the Mazda CX-70's headlights are small like the Mazda CX-50's, they are differentiated by an LED bar that links them to the grille. In addition, the front air vents are dominant and have an edgy shape.
